"Wallfisch, Tepfer learn to collaborate on CD and onstage"

Singer Joanna Wallfisch, who describes herself as having been a "bad student," learns to slow down and pay closer attention to the art she creates. Pianist Dan Tepfer, a self-proclaimed nerd engaged by virtuosity in service to a concept, discovers the challenge in sustaining an emotional thread. Clearly, these two are good for each other, and The Origin of Adjustable Things, the gorgeous new album they've just released on Sunnyside Records, is proof.
Bostonites: two things. First, Wallfisch and Tepfer perform at the Lily Pad, Inman Square, on Sunday, March 15, at 9 p.m. (Tepfer also plays earlier in the day with Lee Konitz at the Museum of Fine Arts.) And second, for those who read the Globe in print, my apologies for screwing up the album title in the first paragraph. Sheesh.
